Your Enjin Wallet password is required to decrypt your Private Key when performing operations that require a signature with your Private Key to show proof of ownership. This includes sending tokens or collectibles, as well as backing up your wallet recovery phrase.

We strongly encourage you to back up your wallet before completing any transactions. Be sure to write down your 12-word recovery phrase on paper and store it in a safe place.

Changing Your Password

To change your Enjin Wallet password, select "Settings" from the main menu, which you can access by tapping the menu button on the top left of your app.

Select the "Change Password" option to initiate the process.

In order to change your password, you will first need to enter your current (old) password. This will allow the app to decrypt and re-encrypt your private key using your the new Enjin Wallet password you select.

Now, choose a new password for your wallet encryption and hit "Next Step."

Note: To avoid the use of weak passwords, your new password will require a minimum of 8 characters and 1 number.

Confirm your new password and select "Change" to complete the process.

I forgot my password.

This process will require your 12-word recovery phrase.

If you have set up your app to require a password to open, you will need to clear Enjin Wallet app data from your phone. You can do this by reinstalling the app.

After reinstalling, open the Enjin Wallet app and re-import your wallet using your 12-word recovery phrase. You will then be able to choose a new password for your Enjin Wallet.

Note: If you have forgotten or lost both your password AND recovery phrase, it will not be possible to recover your Enjin Wallet.
